We make the measurability of our R&D results one of our primary tasks. We want to show to the world that semantic technologies are becoming reality. Find out more about our results and our spin-off companies.

Online Tools

On this page you can find services or online tools created by (or in cooperation with) members of STI.

GoldenBullet

GoldenBullet automates the classification process of product data according to the arbitrary classification standards. Accuracy rates between 70% and 90% enable severe cost reduction of the product classification.

IRIS (Interactive Web Demo)

The IRIS online demo can be found on the project web page. It can be used to type or paste datalog programs and evaluate them with one of the supported evaluation strategies. It is a useful tool for easy testing of datalog programs/algorithms.

OntoGame

Despite significant advancement in technology and tools, building ontologies, annotating data, and aligning multiple ontologies remain tasks that highly depend on human intelligence, both as a source of domain expertise and for making conceptual choices.

OWL to WSML Translator (Interactive Web Demo & Web Service)

The OWL-WSML Translator transforms an OWL ontology from the OWL/RDF syntax into WSML.

RDFS to WSML Translator (Interactive Web Demo & Web Service)

The RDFS-WSML Translator transforms an RDFS specification into WSML. It transforms as much of native RDFS as possible, accepting both RDF/XML syntax and RDF Turtle syntax as input. RDF properties can either be mapped to WSML attributes or WSML relations.

RDFSReasoner (Interactive Web Demo & Web Service)

The RDFS Reasoner translates ontology descriptions in RDFS to predicates and rules. It is using IRIS as an underlying reasoning engine and currently supports the simple, RDF, RDFS and extensional RDFS (eRDFS) entailment regimes. The implementation is based on the work described in [de Bruijn et al. 2007].

Semantic Web Service Challenge Testbed (Web Services)

The Semantic Web Services Testbed is an online tool which provides for the following functionality:

SKOS2GenTax: Tool for deriving OWL ontologies from SKOS categorization schemas (Interactive Demo)

SKOS2GenTax is an online tool that converts hierarchical classifications available in the W3C SKOS (Simple Knowledge Organization Systems) format into RDF-S or OWL ontologies. In many cases, the resulting ontologies can be used directly. If not, they can be refined using standard ontology engineering tools like e.g. Protégé.

WSML DL Reasoner (Interactive Web Demo)

The WSML 2.0 DL Reasoner enables reasoning over WSML-DL 2.0 ontologies by using Elly as the underlying reasoning engine.

WSML Rule Reasoner (Interactive Web Demo)

The WSML Rule Reasoner translates ontology descriptions in WSML-Core 2.0, WSML-Flight 2.0 and WSML-Rule 2.0 to predicates and rules and answers queries over these. It is using IRIS as underlying reasoning engine.

WSML to OWL Translator (Interactive Web Demo & Web Service)

The WSML-OWL Translator transforms a WSML-DL ontology into an OWL DL ontology. The file can either be transformed to OWL/RDF syntax or to OWL abstract syntax.

WSML to RDFS Translator (Interactive Web Demo & Web Service)

The WSML-RDFS Translator transforms a WSML ontology into RDFS. The file can either be transformed to RDF/XML syntax or to RDF Turtle syntax.

WSML Validator (Interactive Web Demo & Web Service)

The Validator determines whether a WSML definition is compliant with a specific variant. If not, it returns a list of errors that make it on-compliant. The validator can also be used to determine the variant of a WSML ontology. The validation check is currently only implemented for ontologies.
