First Steps Towards Fully Distributed Semantic Storage

Triple Space Computing as the convergence of space-based computing and Semantic Web is a new cutting edge research area that is especially pushed forward by researchers at DERI and various international university and business partners. Lately, a TSC API was defined and a reference implementation accessing a single storage component was developed at DERI Galway. The goal of this thesis is to evaluate the API and the implementation and to migrate to system to a distributed network using e.g., JXTA from Sun Microsystems. JXTA technology is a set of open protocols that allow any connected device on the network ranging from cell phones and wireless PDAs to PCs and servers to communicate and collaborate in a P2P manner.
